We recently got a hold of the medicinal mushroom which is more commonly known as Ganoderma, or Lingzhi in China, or Reishi in Japan or Youngchi in Korea. I’m going to share a bit of information about this so you guys will know how good it is for the body and how the Chinese used this to promote good health and longevity.
Yes, the action word is longevity. Who wouldn’t want that?
Experts believe that Ganoderma can relieve fatigue, keep cholesterol and blood pressure levels normal, reduce bronchitis and asthma attacks, strengthen the immune system, build stamina and even help fight-off cancer cell-proliferation. Sounds good, right? Well, it’s certainly one of the best herbs Mother Earth has ever given us.
Ganoderma is a very hard, orange-red mushroom that cannot be eaten because of its bitter taste. It is sought after by many Asians, but its popularity is now spreading everywhere on the globe, mainly because of its health and medicinal benefits.
I am quoting Arthritis Help Tips because they explained it best.
Ganoderma is not just a nutritional supplement but a miraculous herb for its health giving properties and an anti-aging natural food that actually help prevent as well as help reverse many diseases like cancer, arthritis, diabetes, obesity, cardiac problems to mention a few of the major ones where clinical trials have consistently established its efficacy.
We were ecstatic when Mr. Snuggles and I found this place in the South where they organically grow these mushrooms.
I think that the best benefit which I love about Ganoderma is that it increases the level of antioxidants. This is why I am also a big fan of green tea. Teehee.
Today, I mixed a tumbler of green tea with about half a cup of the Ganoderma extract that we made. Talk about super anti-aging combo!
You can buy Ganoderma from health stores or herb stores. I am already thinking of selling it via my Etsy store because I want everyone to benefit from it. Of course, I will be selling these magic mushrooms for a super low price.
I’ll let you know once it’s up.
So now, I am basically saying hello to my youthful and ageless self and saying buh-bye to toxins!
By the way, to extract the benefits from Ganoderma, you must thinly slice the mushrooms and boil it for 2 hours. This is how Ganoderma looks like when sliced. It resembles a wood. LOL.
I wish you a healthy life!
