Today, Mr. Snuggles and I celebrate our four years of loving each other! Hurray to us! LOL 
We make sure that we celebrate each year differently and meaningfully. The only big date (you know the romantic and cheesy kind) we went on was on our first anniversary but other than that, every anniversary was weird yet fun. We both hate romanticizing relationships where our dates are like those in movies. Hate is such a cruel word and I should not have used that… well, let’s just call it ‘bored’. We are bored with movie-like relationships.
However, we always make it a point to write a short love letter to each other. Actually, it’s my weakness. I love the magic that comes with longhand writing and for me, it’s better than a romantic dinner. Weird, right?
Anyway, if you’re celebrating your anniversary too with your special someone and would like to set a different tune to the basic romantic dinner or sightseeing, I’ve listed a couple of creative activities that we’ve done so far.
* Write a short love letter to each other. It’s better when you do it in longhand. Skip your computer and just let your fingers creatively write the perfect letter.
* Buy something cheap for each other. Instead of giving one another a big & expensive gift, we set a unique small budget and buy a novelty item that the other does not necessarily need.
* Make a theme and do activities related to it. In one of our anniversaries, we had the “cheesy” theme and bought each other cheesy stuff. We laughed so hard because we’re not really into these things as I’ve said earlier. I remember receiving a CD with classic love songs and I remember feeling like I’d almost barf. LOL.
* Pretend like today is the first time we met. We really can’t pull this off nicely since we would always end up laughing at ourselves.
* Walk the labyrinth together.
* Read a book together. We shared one book and thought it was sweet. Good thing Mr. Snuggles and I have almost the same taste in books so it did not take us long to choose a book we both can enjoy.
* Draw each other. It’s just so fun to see how the other person draws you. We’d tease each other on and on about how imperfect my nose was drawn or how his face was completely blown up. LOL
Also, I’d like to do these things on our future anniversaries:
* Order for each other at a restaurant and make sure the other eats it. No one can complain but rather each should savor the dish. Since we love each other very much, I’m sure we’ll order something great for the other. 
* Make coupons for each other which we can avail of during the year. I’ve done this for him but I wonder what coupons he can make for me though.
* Paint each other face with face paint. Mr. Snuggles has his special way of drawing and it never fails to make me laugh.
