When I woke up yesterday morning, I suddenly realized that the New Year is as beautiful and exciting as the next moment. We have always celebrated the turn of the year but not the turn of the moment. We act as if we are only given one chance in a year to make resolutions, to change or to act. As if we are waiting for the opportunity to start anew, begin with a new page, a new chapter without knowing that we are given just that — every moment and every second.
We miss celebrating that because we forget to live in the moment. By living in the golden present we realize that NOW is the only time we have and we are being given the perfect opportunity NOW to do whatever we want, to become whoever we ought to be and to be wherever we should be.
I hope the New Year will remind you that every moment should be celebrated with zeal, gratefulness and love just like how you celebrate every turn of the year, century or decade because they all hold an equal amount of opportunity.
