They have one whole store that sells all different kinds of pens, pencils and markers

They sell the cutest finger puppets in the Taipei Zoo

which looks so much like my kitty Panda! (cute!!!)

They have the coolest notebooks

They have a weird sense of humor

They sell a unique candy called Malt Sugar

There is a local artist in Jioufen who makes Ocarina by hand

Their designs are eco-friendly

There are many temples, like the Longshen Temple, where we can pray.

They serve weird shakes like Guava (blech) which they try to disguise as Doraemon. teehee

They have 1 liter yakult

They have a wide assortment of hot buns (siopao)

They serve the best beef noodles

Their night markets and night food squares serve the most delicious street food

They serve the BEST tea in their 100++ year old tea houses

And they pair your tea with a lightly sweetened and very creamy Oolong Tea Cheesecake

They serve sweet potatoes for dessert

The view is spectacular

They have kept Jioufen, their old city, alive.

There is art everywhere, even with poop!

They serve the BEST bubble tea

We can see the whole of Taipei when we go up to the 88th floor of the Taipei 101

And as a bonus, we get to ride the fastest elevator in the world!

People are disciplined when they use the escalator, everyone stands on the right so people who are in a hurry can pass on the left side

They have take-out sushi on almost all their MRT stations!

The fact that we can eat yummy food despite not knowing its contents or even what it’s called

And being able to ride the Gondola to Maokong for 15 minutes with my soulmate.

Life is sweet. Taiwan made it sweeter.
