Stickers, Erasers and Surprises

Hello everyone! I was supposed to blog about this a week ago but again, as I’ve told you in my previous post about the typhoon, I was not able to write about my excitement.

While we were waiting for the power to come back last Wednesday and I was stitching away with felt all day, something lovely came in the mail!!!

I joined a sticker swap hosted by Heather over at Speckled Egg last June and finally, my package came! These were the sticker sets I sent:

and these were the stickers I got:

Heather added a little something to every package — shaped rubber bands (I’m not sure about what it’s called so… yeah. lol)

Apart from the stickers, I also wanted to show you what I got at the arcade a month back while my cousins, brother, Mr. Snuggles and I were playing. We got so many tickets and this was one of the stuff we traded our tickets to:

Isn’t it a cutie? I don’t think I’ll be using this little burger because it’s just so cute. But then again, I think the little burger would feel awful if it would not serve its purpose, so I might use it anyway. :)

Lastly, I was surprised when a few readers emailed me yesterday telling me they found me over at Kind Over Matter. I had to rush to Amanda and Jenn‘s blog to see what was happening and what do you know, I was featured! :) It was so delightful to be surprised like that! I just love surprises!

Amanda and Jenn of Kind Over Matter, thank you for all the nice and thoughtful words you’ve put in the post and for surprising me. :) I feel so honored! LOL. (Forgive me for being oh so silly my friends! I’m just giddy.)

I thought this little surprise was enough when Sara of Savvy Stitcher notified me that she’s writing about the Take Time Jar I made. :) Sweet!

Thank you very much ladies! You don’t know how much you brighten my day! :)

I hope you’re all having a lovely Friday! :)

Lollipop Love Tokens

We’re having a small get together today and we thought about giving everyone in the family a little love token. I initially wanted to make chocolates and flavor them with orange or mint (simply because I love chocolate orange & chocolate mint! LOL) but I did not have enough time to make them so I ended up using local lollipops. I’ll save the chocolates for another time. :)

Our Valentine’s Day Lollipop Love Tokens:

Lollipop Love Tokens

Here’s how to make them:

1. Download the free printable Lollipop Cover Template I made for you (just because I love you! lol) and print them on A4 size colored paper. You can also use plain white paper, about 80gsm or higher, and let your kids color the template. That would be a nice project for them this V-day.

2. Buy your lollies. It would be best to use lollipops that have longer sticks but the printable template above can also be used in regular lollipops. I bought these at our local market in Alabang. Not bad for a P10-pack of 12 lollies.

3. Cut out the pattern. Use a sharp cutter to cut the ears and the X marks.

4. Push the stick of the lollipop into the X marks in the pattern. The hole at the back of the pattern should be the first one in the stick. I’ll try to make a video if you can’t get the sequencing. lol. :) Anyway, it should look something like this:

and end this way:

5. Glue the tags included on the printable Lollipop Cover Template.

I started only with a few pieces.

But as expected, I ended up making a lot. 30 pieces to be exact. :)

Enjoy making your own Lollipop Love Tokens!!
