I found an old pair of shorts in my closet last night and thought the pockets would look really nice in a bag. Without even measuring anything, I grabbed my scissors and snipped my shorts to make a square-ish pattern. I wasn’t able to take photos while I was making it because I was so excited to see the final product. Teehee.

Anyway, what I did was I stitched the sides and bottom part of the square and left the top part open. I then took an old (really, really old) necktie which I got from a garage sale for P10. At that time I did not know why I wanted to buy the old-fashioned tie but now I am glad I bought it. I cut the tie in half and sewed it on each side to make the handle. I embellished it with buttons that were collected by my Ma from our old, worn out clothes.

This is my upcycled shorts turned into a little bag:

I think this will be perfect for holding my Envirosax bags when I go to our local market, some cash and a phone. :) BTW, I also made a small inside pocket (which I forgot to take a photo of! aaarrgh! lol) that can hold my IPod. Cutie!
