I made this “loot bag” for my Papa’s birthday party last Saturday. My printer died on me in the middle of making this but I think it turned out pretty well.
Ever since I was born, I can’t remember having a party for his birthday. But I guess turning 60 means a lot because he initiated the celebration himself. Anyway, since being a senior citizen was the theme and the guests were nearing that stage as well, I made Senior Citizen Survival Kits. These kits were filled with trinkets and little stuff designed for senior citizens or people of old age. They’re basically meant to be funny rather than insulting.
I got cheap chocolate candies in foil packs at our local market. I was thinking of buying Advil or any other pain reliever but it would be a little boring.
Massage oils were bottled in 30ml sizes and labeled “Oil of Old Age – Treats dry, wrinkled skin”. lol
“Whistle: For when you have fallen and can’t get up”. These are cheaply sold in markets.
Generic safety matches were also included in the senior citizen survival kit.
This is my personal favorite — Napping Pads. Printed them out on regular bond paper, cut them out to size and padded them myself.
You can download this “While you were napping” pads by clicking the link below.

My Mum will definitely shout (at me) when she sees the napping pads! She’s 77 and I am always calling her an OAP (old age pensioner)! I love your ideas!
