Today’s lunch was superb! I made Peanut Rice Noodle Salad. It was just so perfect — the freshly cooked rice noodles combined with chilled cucumbers and carrots and topped with spicy peanut sauce made the hot summer day more tolerable. Mr. Snuggles was, as usual, very appreciative. LOL. I will be posting the recipe along with a new design for the printable recipe card in the coming days so stay tuned. :P

For now, I made a couple of chopsticks covers to complement my oriental lunch.

Look how cheerful my lunch looked! :)

Here’s how to make your own chopsticks cover:

1. Download and print the free PDF template for the chopsticks cover. You may download it for free by clicking the link below. I made two kinds of files for you today. One is pre-loaded with design just like the one in the photo above and the other is just the plain pattern so you can design the covers yourself. For the first option (with design), you only have to color them with your choice of  medium.

2. Print the file on an A4 size paper.

3. Cut out template, fold in half by following the dashes in the middle.

4. Color or design your own chopsticks covers using whatever medium you have in mind. I simply used crayons for my cover.

5. Glue the open sides except for the top and slip the chopsticks in. You can use them on your next Asian-themed party or if you’re having an oriental lunch such as mine!

I made another cover using the design-it-yourself template. Since I was into clouds today, I carved a cute smiling cloud on a small eraser and stamped it on the whole template. One can easily draw the raindrops and the rainbow swooshes and color the whole thing. Oh, I also used a peach colored multi-purpose paper.

Have fun making these simple and creative chopsticks covers!
