I had a fabulous weekend! Despite the delay in posting this because we were swamped with work yesterday, I’m still excited to show you what we did over the weekend.

As you might have read from my previous post (do visit my previous post so you can download my new adorable paper doll!), we went to my Aunt’s house last Sunday to help my cousin Daffodil with their son Iko’s baptism giveaways. I’m a proud Tita because I designed the covers for his party favors and his invitations. Teehee.

Daff thought about giving tea because it cleanses the body of toxins just as a child is cleansed of his original sin during baptism. :) I don’t know how she comes up with these things LOL! I’ve never seen it that way. :P

It’s a good thing I was selling some tea bags over at my Etsy shop. I simply had to redesign the tea bag covers to match the baby blue and brown theme they wanted for Iko.

SHAMELESS PLUG: If you’d like your own customized tea bag covers as party favors, just email me at issa{dot}sarza{at}gmail{dot}com with your ideas for the party and other pertinent details. I can create a customized tea bag cover for weddings, birthdays, baptisms, baby showers, etc. These can be unique giveaways for your parties. Or you can even use these as invitations. I’ll try to make one so I can post it soon. For a small price, you can get a printable file of the customized covers which you can assemble yourself. :)

My nephew’s such a lucky boy to be born with creative elders like his mom and grandmom. I feel so thankful I had such creative heritage and didn’t get my Papa’s genes when it comes to drawing. Can you imagine that my old man cannot even draw a simple table or a stick figure?!  LOL. But what he lacked in art skills he augmented with people skills.

Anyway, would you guys like to see what machine we used to sew these cute tea bags?

My Aunt has a bunch of old sewing machines (one of them she lovingly gave to me teehee) at her home. She brought out three! And I know she has more stashed somewhere. Although we only used one machine, I just thought my Aunt was so funny that she had to bring out three machines so we can choose which one to use. I mean, who does that?! LOL!

Well, I just had to show you my favorite one:

Isn’t she a beauty?

We all had a great day at my Aunt’s. The whole house was filled with love, laughter and of course, food like our new family favorite that Daff made — Monte Cristo Sandwich:

Yummy! :)

Next time I’ll try to take photos of my Aunt’s ceramic plate collection. She has TONS. lol

Wishing you are all having an exciting week! I’m leaving you with my song for the day. Enjoy!
