Woohoo! Thanksgiving is almost here
And that means Christmas is just around the corner!
Wow, time flies really fast, huh? This morning I was thinking how my year was going and if I ever got the chance to fully savor the goodness of every moment of 2010. I wondered if I even had the chance to truly thank the Universe for all the overflowing and wonderful blessings.
Well, now is the perfect time to give thanks and remind myself that there’s an overflowing abundance in my life. To do that, I made note cards where every day, each of us in the family can write down something that we’re thankful for. This is also my little way of preparing our family for Thanksgiving.

It doesn’t matter if what we’re being thankful for happened in January or April, we’re just going to write them down.
Then we’ll fold them so it’ll somehow still be a secret and drop it in our Thanksgiving bowl.
And on Thanksgiving, we’ll open all the note cards and read them all!
This is for us to remember all the moments, things, places and people we are thankful for.
I brought my origami lotuses into the bowl and I suddenly feel warm and fuzzy. I can’t wait for Thanksgiving.
If you would like to do the same in your household, you can download and print out the free file, cut the note cards out and simply place them somewhere your family can see it. It would be best if you give your family members a brief explanation on what they’re supposed to do and what’s going to happen with the note cards on Thanksgiving.
Or better yet, if you’re hosting a Thanksgiving dinner or party, you can engage your guests to write down something upon their arrival and then you can all read out aloud the cards during dessert!
It’s not only a great conversation starter but it’s also a perfect way to know what they’re really thankful for.
