I found a few scraps of felt in my “someday-I’ll-use-this-for-something” stash and since Halloween is near, I thought I’d make a cute costume! Well not for myself though because scraps won’t be enough (teehee). I made one for my iPod.
Do forgive me if this would seem “ancient” to you. teehee. I’m not one of those people who love to upgrade their gadgets every once in a while because I simply like my stuff to be plain functional. If it doesn’t function the way I need it to, then that’s the time I replace it. Otherwise, I stick with it until I feel the need. Hence the old iPod.
I leave the tech-stuff to Mr. Snuggles.
Now my iPod’s all set for Halloween, don’t you think?
Don’t mind the poor sewing skills, I was very very excited to see the final result which made me a little less neat.
To make the costume, I simply cut 2 rectangles, 6 strips, 2 pairs of ears where one is slightly bigger than the other and a pair of tails from my felt. I found a matching bead which I can use to lock the iPod inside.
I roughly measured everything that needs to be measured. When I say “roughly” I mean I guess-measured. teehee. But I’m actually happy it turned out well.
She looks like a little kitten singing “ohhhhhhhh!”
Have you seen her cute bottom?
It might look as if the bead was her tail but her real tail was sewn to the side so I can see it when she’s facing me.
And look how effective my kitty iPod costume is! My two other kittens think she’s family! LOL!
I bet you’re preparing for Halloween already because whenever I’m blog-hopping I see all those DIY fall and Halloween decors being made. I wish we have autumn here.
Oh well, I guess I’ll just enjoy the beach during “fall” season.
